Prompts | Originals | Remixes
We’re still at the beginning of our grand Powerclash journey, so we need writers to respond to prompts and create originals before we can start remixing.
Here’s how we picture it working.
- Everything related to Powerclash is created under a creative commons license, which means everyone is free to remix work as they wish. You don’t need to ask permission, but you do need to acknowledge your sources.
Different types of remixing:
- Continuation: Someone else has started a story, but left it incomplete. You can pick it up and carry it on.
- Expansion: Someone has written a completed short form story. You can expand it out to a longer story.
- Adaptation: Someone has written a completed story of any length. You can retell the story in your own way.
- Editing: Someone has written a completed story of any length. You can make changes to a story to improve it.
- Collecting: One or more writers have written multiple completed story of any length. You can collect them into a larger work, such as a short story collection, or mixing chapters of different novellas to make a novel.
- Merging: One or more writers have written multiple stories, either complete or incomplete. You can merge parts of different stories together.
In practice, remixing is often a combination of different approaches.
