This is such an important topic that we didn’t feel comfortable dictating the rules before the project had started. For now, we have noted our guiding principles:
- Good writing should be rewarded. If someone writes a brilliant story in the Powerclash world, we should try and support them and make it canon.
- Every story is written by a ‘narrator‘, and some of them may take liberties with the ‘truth’ of Ringmaster’s recordings. Canon can be contradictory, to some degree.
- Everything is creative commons – so if writers/readers love stories that don’t get selected for ‘official’ canon, we should actively support alternative branching canons.
Everything else is up for discussion.
