Root was a treasure hunter exploring a lost city in the jungle.
As the Green Team captain, Root was present on L-Day – a fragment of a shooting star, one of the seeds of power, landed at her feet and gave her a superpower.
Root gained the ability to control and morph into plants.
Every team captain was given a different method for recruiting their team. The Green Team’s method was consumption – Root morphed into a fruiting tree, and each of her recruits ate the fruit of that tree and gained a power.
Her first recruit was her friend, Mole, who had been exploring the city with her. Mole then spread the story of the magical tree.
Root stayed as a tree for the next twenty-three years, until enough explorers had found her to complete her team.
