The period between Landing Day (10th Nov 1984) and Start Day (22nd Mar 2007) is known the Gathering Era
The gathering era began when a shooting star broke apart into five fragments that fell towards each of the five populated continents.
Each fragment fell directly to a chosen human, and each gained a different superpower when they touched it.

These five humans became the Powerclash contest’s team captains.
Over the next two decades they independently recruited the rest of their teams. Each team captain was given a different way of recruiting members to their team.

The team captains bestowed unique powers upon each recruit, but with no knowledge of where these powers were coming from, or what they were for.
Over the gathering era, each team captain took a different approach to recruiting their teams.

He quickly ‘recruited’ his full team. Law did not realize he was bestowing powers upon his progeny. Later, he gathered most of his children, and trained them to become his secret superpowered army. |
| Blue / Dyer Sexual Transmission 2nd Team Complete | With his superpower (emotion manipulation), Dyer was able to make people feel love and awe when they were near him. It took him a long time to understand his power and start to exploit it, but as his ‘recruits’ were adults he immediately understood that he was bestowing powers on his partners and selected them tactically to further his own ambitions. |
| Red / Radiant Blood Transmission 3rd Team Complete | With her superpower (solar empowerment), Radiant became an incredible warrior, and recruited the best warriors she met to become her blood-sibs, bestowing powers upon them. Together, they spearhead a military quest to unify the empire of Alkebulan. |
| White / Wellspring Maternal Procreation 4th Team Complete | With her superpower (health manipulation), Wellspring was able heal the sick and save her people from the choke. She carried eight sets of triplets, by eight different fathers. As her children all possessed magical powers, she was worshipped as the Holy Mother, head of a pantheon of living gods. |
| Green / Root Consumption 5th Team Complete | With her superpower (plant manipulation), Root is able to transform into a magical tree, hidden in a lost city in the jungle. Only brave explorers who find her and eat the magical fruits will be recruited into her team. |
