We want people to bring their imagination and individuality to the project – we don’t want anyone to feel like they need to conform, or chase an ideal. We want you to feel free to explore any facet of this world from any angle in the voice that feels right to you.
Any genre. Any length. Any subject.
However, we have made a few simple suggestions to help things along…
Within stories:
- Ringmaster has implemented a universal translator for all mankind, so there are no language barriers anywhere.
- No technology beyond the ‘steampunk‘ era; so no oil, combustion engines, plastics or electronics.
Within the community:
- Be as transparent as you can about your plans and your progress. Communication is key to successful collaboration.
If two writers both want to write about the same character in the same time period, it’s much better to collaborate than compete.
